Turning down the brightness and turning off dithering solves the problem. The blurred edges become much darker, which makes them upscale/greyscale better. It does that before the upscale / greyscale. SO, we tell the printer to darken the whole image. Their greyscale converter then does group averages of those blurred edges, which results in those weird raster jagged edges. Since our printers don’t really greyscale, that causes weirdness where the edges becomes odd shades of non-grey blur after upscaling. To print the image, Godex has to upscale it to 204, change it to greyscale and then print. Oddly, it’s a low (94dpi) RGB image that the Godex driver doesn’t handle well. max: 5.0 in Real Time Clock: DT2/DT4: standard Core: 1 in, 1.5 inThickness: 0.06 to 0.
